Agency seeks fine for violations at Georgia nuclear plant

A federal agency Wednesday proposed a $145,000 fine for safety violations at Plant Vogtle, saying employees failed to perform “vital” checks of equipment and conditions at the nuclear plant in eastern Georgia.
